After two divorces and a recent break-up, you couldn't blame Kate Winslet for wanting to hide away.

But the Oscar-winning actress showed she's back on the singles market as she stepped out in London last night in a sexy little black dress.

The mother-of-two, 35, showed off her curves in the simple knee-length ensemble, which she teamed with a pair of peep-toe Christian Louboutin heels.

Winslet wore the chic ensemble as she headed to the BAFTA headquarters in Piccadilly.
Her appearance comes two months after she ended her eight month romance with English model Louis Dowler.

The pair started dating after Winslet revealed she had separated from second husband, director Sam Mendes after seven years of marriage.

She was previously married to Jim Threapleton - father of her daughter Mia, 10, for three years.

Despite her extinguished film career, Winslet admitted recently she finds TV a lot harder medium than movies.

Winslet's TV mini-series Mildred Pierce is set to premiere on U.S. cable network HBO in March.

She said: 'It never occurred to me, beyond the moment of reading those scripts, "Wow, this is television, therefore it's going to be different somehow".

'Sure, we have more to shoot... but the level of determination and level of focus was so much more intense than certainly any film I've ever been a part [of].

'Film, schmilm - I'm telling you television is so much harder. It didn't affect the work ethic in any way other than we had more story to tell, which was a luxury, and less time to work to that goal. But that just meant we were hyper-focused.'
