After getting hitched to Fiona, Shrek suddenly finds himself in an alternate version of Far Far Away, where he and Fiona have never met.
Paramount Pictures has just debuted a trailer for "Shrek Forever After". Making its way out via Apple, the video gives the first preview to Shrek who is stuck in a "Far Far Away" world, where everyone he knows is different from the real life.
Just when he thought he and Fiona are going to live happily forever after they got hitched, Shrek gets new trouble as he "has lost his roar". Instead of scaring villagers away like he used to, the grown-reluctant ogre agrees to autograph pitch forks. Longing for the days when he felt like a "real ogre," Shrek is tricked into signing a pact with the smooth-talking dealmaker, Rumpelstiltskin.
The pact goes awry and Shrek must confront what life would be like in Far Far Away, where ogres are hunted, Rumplestiltskin is king, and Shrek and Fiona have never met. Now, it's up to Shrek to undo all of Rumpelstiltskin's mischief in the hopes of saving his friends, restoring his world, and reclaiming his one true love and family.
"Shrek Forever After" is said going to be the last installment of "Shrek" film franchise after "Shrek", "Shrek 2" and "Shrek the Third". The upcoming animation will come out in 3-D and is slated to hit theaters in U.S. on May 21, 2010. Mike Myers and Cameron Diaz are back as the voices of Shrek and Fiona. Also lending their voices for the movie are Kathy Griffin, Kristin Schaal and Jon Hamm.
